About Me

My name is Sofia Healey, and I am a registered osteopath in Blackheath, London, dedicated to supporting your health and well-being. I hold a Master of Osteopathy (MOst) with Distinction from the UCO School of Osteopathy, one of the UK’s leading providers of osteopathic education and training. My academic journey included 4 years of full-time study and over 1,000 hours of supervised clinical practice at the UCO Clinic, the largest osteopathic teaching clinic in Europe. I am also fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council.

In addition to osteopathy, I am a certified Yoga and Pilates instructor, and I hold qualifications in Deep Tissue and Sports Massage. This integrated background allows me to combine hands-on osteopathic treatment with tailored rehabilitation, movement, and lifestyle advice, helping patients with a wide range of issues including back pain treatment, neck and shoulder pain, joint pain relief, and sports injury treatment.

My Approach

My approach to osteopathy is structural, evidence-informed, and patient-centred. I use a combination of manual therapy, functional movement, and rehabilitation strategies to not only ease pain but also improve musculoskeletal health and prevent future problems. Whether you are dealing with everyday aches, recovering from a minor sports injury, or seeking to restore mobility and strength, my focus is on helping you move better and feel better.

I aim to create a supportive and inclusive environment where every patient feels heard and cared for. My passion lies in guiding people on their journey to recovery, empowering them with personalised advice and practical tools for long-term health.

My Story

Before becoming an osteopath, I spent a decade working in the financial sector in London. Balancing career and motherhood came with its own challenges—including chronic back pain—which first led me to explore Yoga. That sparked a fascination with movement, health, and the body’s ability to heal itself, guiding me into the world of Osteopathy and Pilates.

Today, I live in Blackheath with my family and our dog. You might see me at Madeleine’s or 15 Grams café, or teaching Yoga and Pilates at Blackheath Yoga Studio and David Lloyd Kidbrooke Club.

Fun fact: I speak four languages—Portuguese, Spanish, French, and English—and I once worked as a sewing teacher!
