What is osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a form of manual therapy that focuses on diagnosing, treating, and preventing conditions related to the body’s muscles, joints, and connective tissues. Osteopaths use a variety of hands-on techniques — including gentle manipulation, mobilisation, stretching, massage, and exercise prescription — to help restore balance and improve function throughout the body.

At the heart of osteopathy is the principle that the body’s structure and function are closely connected, and that optimal health depends on the harmonious interaction between the skeleton, muscles, ligaments, organs, nervous system, and connective tissues.
